15-Minute Air Fryer Greek Salmon (Kid-Friendly)
There are weeknights when I have the time and energy to lovingly stir a pot of soup, roast a tray of vegetables, and pretend I’m starring in my own very calm cooking show. These are few and far between…

And then there are weeknights when everyone is hungry, someone can’t find their soccer socks, the dishwasher needs unloading, and I need dinner on the table fast. That’s where this 15-minute air fryer Greek salmon comes in.
As a dietitian mom of three, I love a meal that checks a few boxes without making dinner feel like a whole production. This one is fresh, filling, flavour-packed, and genuinely doable on a busy weeknight. The salmon cooks in the air fryer in under 10 minutes while you toss together a simple Greek-inspired village salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, red onion, and feta.
You can serve it plated, bowl-style, or with quinoa, pita, or rice on the side if your crew needs a little more staying power. It’s one of those “back pocket” meals I can pull together quickly because takeout is waaay too expensive these days.
Why This Dietitian Mom Loves This Air Fryer Greek Salmon
This recipe has officially been added to the rotation of go-to busy weeknight dinners because it feels fresh and satisfying without requiring much time, prep, or brain power. The salmon cooks quickly in the air fryer while you toss together the salad, which means everything is ready in about 15 minutes! No marinade, no complicated steps, no “oops, I was supposed to start this two hours ago” moment. Speaking for a friend, of course.
I also love how flexible it is. You can serve the salmon with the salad on the side, turn it into a Greek salmon bowl, or add quinoa, pita, rice, or roasted potatoes depending on what your family is in the mood for. If you have a more cautious eater at the table, you can serve everything deconstructed so they can choose what feels approachable. For more support on this, you can read my guide on how to support picky eaters.
And from a nutrition perspective, it’s satisfying in that low-effort, high-reward kind of way. You’ve got protein-rich salmon (with plenty of health-promoting fats, too), fibre-rich veggies, and lots of flavour from the feta, olives, herbs, and vinegar.

How to Make Air Fryer Greek Salmon and Salad
This is one of those recipes where everything happens at the same time, which is exactly why it works so well for a busy night.
Step 1: Season the salmon
Start by preheating your air fryer to 400°F. Drizzle each salmon fillet with a little extra-virgin olive oil, then season generously with Greek seasoning. You can use a store-bought Greek seasoning blend, which keeps this recipe super simple, or make your own with the homemade seasoning option in the recipe notes.
Step 2: Cook the salmon in the air fryer
Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer and cook for 6 to 11 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets and your air fryer model. For 1-inch thick salmon fillets, mine usually take about 8 to 9 minutes. The most reliable way to know salmon is done is to use an instant-read thermometer. For this recipe, you’re looking for an internal temperature of 145°F/63°C.
Step 3: Make the Greek salad
While the salmon cooks, toss together the salad. You’ll use cherry or grape tomatoes, cucumber, thinly sliced red onion, olives, and feta. The dressing is a simple mix of olive oil, red wine vinegar, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. No need to overthink it. Add everything to a bowl, toss, and dinner is basically done.
Step 4: Serve it your way
You can serve the salmon warm with the salad on the side, or turn it into a Greek salmon bowl by spooning the salad into shallow bowls and placing the salmon right on top. Both options are delicious. Both options count as dinner. We love that.
How Long Do You Cook Salmon in the Air Fryer?
For 1-inch thick salmon fillets, start checking around the 8-minute mark. Air fryer models can vary quite a bit, so the exact cook time will depend on your appliance and the thickness of your salmon. Thinner fillets may be ready closer to 6 minutes, while thicker fillets may need closer to 10 or 11 minutes.
My biggest tip? Use an instant-read thermometer if you have one. It takes the guesswork out of cooking fish and helps prevent that sad, dry salmon situation. For this recipe, cook the salmon until it reaches 145°F/63°C.

What to Serve with Greek Salmon
This air fryer Greek salmon and salad is filling enough on its own for many nights, but you can absolutely bulk it up depending on appetites, preferences, and what you have on hand. Try serving it with:
- Quinoa
- Warm pita or flatbread
- Rice
- Roasted potatoes
- Hummus and pita
- Tzatziki
- Chickpeas
- Extra Greek salad
- A simple fruit plate on the side
We often add quinoa because it cooks in about 15 minutes too, so everything is ready at the same time. But if I’m being honest, some nights I just serve the salmon over the salad and call it done. If you love this kind of bowl-style meal, you may also like these weeknight one-pan burrito bowls, my 15-minute Korean beef tacos, or my cheeseburger bowls for another fast family dinner.

Can I Make This Into a Greek Salmon Bowl?
Absolutely. In fact, this is one of my favourite ways to serve it. To make a Greek salmon bowl, start with the village salad as your base, then top each bowl with one air fryer salmon fillet. From there, you can add whatever sounds good or makes the meal more filling for your family. See above for some ideas.
This is also a great way to let everyone build their own bowl. One kid might want extra cucumbers and no olives. Another might want salmon, pita, and feta on the side. Another might surprise you and go all-in on the salad. Family meals don’t have to look identical on every plate to “count.”
Is Air Fryer Greek Salmon Kid-Friendly?
This Greek salmon is flavourful but not spicy, which makes it a great option for families. The Greek seasoning gives it lots of savoury, herby flavour, but it’s not overpowering. That said, as a pediatric dietitian and mom, I also know that “kid-friendly” does not mean every child will immediately eat every part of the meal with joy and gratitude. Wouldn’t that be lovely?
If you have a more cautious eater, try serving this meal family-style or deconstructed. That might look like:
- Salmon in one section of the plate
- Cucumbers on the side
- Tomatoes offered separately
- A few cubes of feta
- Pita or quinoa as a familiar option
- Salad dressing on the side
Some kiddos may be more willing to try the salmon if it’s served without the salad touching it. Some may only eat the cucumbers and pita the first time. It all counts as exposure. If you know me, you know that the goal is not to pressure kids into eating the whole meal exactly as written. The goal is to keep offering a variety of foods in a low-pressure way so they can build familiarity and confidence over time.
Homemade Greek Seasoning Option
If you don’t have a Greek seasoning blend, you can make your own with pantry spices. For this recipe, combine dried oregano, salt, dried basil, dried dill weed, onion powder, garlic powder, thyme, and black pepper. Stir it together, then sprinkle generously over the salmon after drizzling with olive oil. This homemade Greek seasoning works beautifully on salmon, but it’s also delicious on chicken, shrimp, roasted potatoes, or veggies.

15-Minute Air Fryer Greek Salmon (Kid-Friendly)
Ingredients
For the salmon:
- 4 salmon fillets about 1-inch/2.5 cm thick
- 2 teaspoons/10 mL extra-virgin olive oil
- Club House Greek Seasoning Blend or see notes for homemade
For the village salad:
- 2 pints/566 g cherry or grape tomatoes sliced or left whole
- 4 mini cucumbers or 1 english cucumber sliced into thin half moons
- 1/4 cup/60 mL very thinly sliced red onion or to taste
- 1/3 cup/80 mL sliced black olives
- 1/2 to 2/3 cup/125 to 160 mL cubed or crumbled feta cheese
To dress the salad, or use your favourite Greek vinaigrette:
- 1/4 cup/60 mL extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons/30 mL red wine vinegar to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon/2.5 mL dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon/1.25 mL dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon/1.25 mL salt or to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F/200°C. Drizzle 1/2 teaspoon olive oil over each fillet and season generously with the Greek seasoning blend. Add them to the air fryer, and cook for 6 to 11 minutes, depending on your appliance model. I cook a 1-inch fillet for 8 to 9 minutes, until an instant read thermometer reads 145°F/63°C.
- While the salmon cooks, make the salad. Slice the tomatoes, if desired, or simply leave whole, and add to a large mixing bowl. Prepare the cucumbers, onion, and olives as directed, adding them to the bowl as you go. Top with the feta.
- Drizzle the oil and vinegar over the salad and toss to combine. Now, sprinkle the oregano, basil, salt and pepper overtop and toss again.
- When the salmon is ready, serve warm, with the salad alongside. Alternatively, add the salad to individual bowls and top each with a salmon fillet.

Shortcut Tips for Busy Weeknights
This recipe is already fast, but there are a few ways to make it even more doable when the evening feels chaotic.Use store-bought Greek seasoning
A store-bought Greek seasoning blend keeps this recipe quick and flavourful. I love having a reliable seasoning blend on hand for nights when I do not want to measure eight different spices.Use bottled Greek vinaigrette
The homemade dressing is simple, but if you have a Greek vinaigrette you love, use it. Truly. Dinner does not need to be harder than it has to be.Leave the tomatoes whole
If your cherry or grape tomatoes are small, you can leave them whole to save chopping time. For younger kids, you may want to slice them lengthwise for safety.Buy pre-crumbled feta
Cubed feta is delicious, but pre-crumbled feta is very convenient and works well here.Add a quick grain
Quinoa, microwave rice, or leftover cooked grains can turn this into a heartier Greek salmon bowl without much extra effort. This post may contain affiliate links. View our policy.
